Some images from late July and August too. If you can ID the young flycatcher, let me know.
Beautiful shots, as always! I’d go with Olive-sided Flycatcher for the mystery bird. The really long primary projection, the larger bill (than Western Wood-Pewee), and what looks like a clean white stripe from throat to belly all suggest that.
You are probably right. It’s a new yard bird for me. In migration, anything is possible!
