Great Blue Heron in an old pine snag. In the summer I frequently see Bald Eagles, Osprey and Tree Swallows using this snag
I know they perch and roost in trees, but it just doesn’t seem right to see them up there! Nice capture.
They also nest in the Methow. I am not used to seeing them in the winter and I have to believe that this birds is watching the ice fishing in hopes of stealing the catch.
