The yellow dog is Red Molly and she has frequently been featured in past posts. We are practically her god parents.
And yes, we have seen at least one cougar and some bears. Sky is sensible and can be told to ‘leave it’ and really pays attention well. Luna, on the other hand tends to growl and bark and want to give chase. Generally bears turn and run and we’ve never had trouble. Luna will continue to bark til they are well out of sight. And cougars are pretty evil in her eyes. She has the same reaction to cats. The one we all saw did turn and run away and I was able to call Luna off. Those are the only two things that Luna will growl about. She truly recognizes them being higher on the food chain than her. One day we were walking on a road with a friend and her dogs and Luna and her older one were very much ill at ease. Later we learned that was an area where there were wolves. Dogs know stuff.
