Today was the classic part of the annual Race of the Methow held at the course at Liberty Bell High School. The snow really slowed down the racers and they spent much of their time double poling, even downhill.

The City of Twisp had a grand Fourth of July Parade and that was followed by an exuberant Arts Festival in the park sponsored by Methow Arts.

An annual six legged race with a costume contest held at the Town Trailhead in Winthrop. There are divisions for kids and adults and big dogs, little dogs and very big dogs. Yesterday’s snow conditions were less than desirable however it may have given the competitors a more even playing field, so to speak.
