Yesterday was fabulously sunny and cold at Gunn Ranch! 9 degrees when I arrived! The glorious blue skies and sunshine brought out the skiers and their dogs; lots of backcountry skiers, some snowshoers and the first ‘fat bike’ I’ve seen on the groomed trails. Luna’s tall blonde California friend was back for another day on the trail. Two dogs, a jack russell and a blonde goldendoodle came all the way from Utah to ski our trails. A husky mix puppy came from Canada. Some dogs wore boots to keep the snow from building up on their pads. No one seemed to complain about the cold and everyone had fun!

This is the first time I’ve tried the new gallery feature in WordPress. Do you like it? Or not? Let me know.

Happy New Year!

Teri, thank you for your very interesting picture stories throughout this past year, we have enjoyed them immensely. And yes, the album of dogs and snow that you just posted brought a great smile of enjoyment. Happy New Year for you and your family.

  1. Hi! Like the new format a lot; can quickly check out pictures as I have time and zero in on some or all as I have time later…. Envy you your blue skies; we’ve had overcast for far too long (and an hour power outage this morning…we were all ready to drag out the generator and set up again when it came back on. ha!) And cold…just great pictures. In the next Phlox, and on our website, I’d like to advertise the National Audubon Convention July 12-15, 2013, at Skamania Lodge in Stevenson, WA. When is the deadline for submission? To have our national convention in this state, and relatively close, is an exquisite opportunity to mix with like-minded folks, learn about different regions of our country, and just have fun. I am proud of our state and would love to be a part of showing visitors a great time. It would be awesome if a lot of Washington Audubon people attended! _Click here: Columbia Gorge Hotels | Skamania Lodge – Photo Gallery | Hotels in Columbia River Gorge_ (http://www.skamania.com/lodge-photos.php) Happy and healthy new year to you and Ken!
